Peng Xiuwen

Peng Xiuwen

Peng Xiuwen (; pinyin: Péng Xiūwén; b. Hubei, China, 1931; d. Beijing, China, December 1996) was a noted Chinese conductor and composer. He was a native of Wuhan, in the Hubei province of central China.

He directed the China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra, a large orchestra of Chinese traditional (and modernized traditional) instruments which was based in Beijing.
