The Muslim World

The Muslim World

"The Muslim World" is television series broadcast over the ARY Digital network. the series aims to address some of the issues relating the Muslim world and the West in a post 9/11 scenario. While the focal point seems to be from the Muslim world, it certainly goes beyond the norm by addressing the issues from its core and the theme seems largely inclusive of a global perspective.

Hosted and directed by Javed Malik the series features strong and powerful interactions with British historian from St Andrews University, Dr James Dickie, Prominent British MP, George Galloway, Indian author, and editor of "Asian Age", M.J Akbar as well as some Arab and British Arab intellectuals. Gorge Galloway blamed the Balfour Declaration which led to the creation if Israel as the first steps towards a catalogue of problems.

Other participants of the programme included Lord Nazir Ahmed ( British Muslim Parliamentarian), Dr. Majid Kilani ( Jordanian Intellectual), Dr. Yakub Zaki ( British Intellectual), Shaukat Aziz, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto ( Former Prime Minister), Professor Akbar S. Ahmed of Washington University, and Dr. Shaykah Abdal Kader Al Murabit.
