Kate Shugak series

The Kate Shugak series is a mystery series by Dana Stabenow, featuring the fictional character Kate Shugak. The first book, "A Cold Day for Murder", won the Edgar Award for Best Paperback Original in 1993.

The plots of the books in the Kate Shugak series involve Aleuts and, to a lesser extent, Eskimos. Indian tribes native to Alaska are also occasionally mentioned.
