"I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" is a horror film released straight to DVD on August 15, 2006 as the direct-to-video sequel to 1998's "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" and the third installment in the series. The film was meant to go to theaters but was instead released direct-to-DVD. It was filmed in Park City, Utah.

Plot

In a small Colorado town, an Independence Day prank goes horribly wrong when one of the teenagers involved dies accidentally. The others all swear themselves to secrecy, but one year later their friendship is tested when a mysterious stalker starts threatening revenge for the incident. some times things don't always seem to be the same .

At the end of the film, when the fisherman from the two previous installments reveals himself as the killer, the surviving friends realize that he isn't really human, but an invincible killing machine comprised of fish, not flesh. The film flashes to one year later when Amber is driving to meet Lance. She has to pull over because of a flat tire and as she waits for someone to drive past she looks around worriedly. The camera flashes to behind her where the fisherman stands. A very loud scream is heard as the final credits roll.

The Fisherman

A fourth installment in the series called "The Fisherman" was planned. Although it was meant to go into production in September 2008, it was delayed in August due to the fact they felt the script wasn't good enough. On 2nd September 2008 it was officially canceled. Jennifer Love Hewitt told Ellen DeGeneres that the film isn't totally out of the picture and told her if the film was made she would reprise her role along with Freddy Prinze Jr. On September 9th -- just seven days after the film's cancellation -- it was revealed that the film was back in the writing stages and that the film will follow the 2nd film.
