- Eisosome
Eisosomes are large immobile protein assemblies at the
plasma membrane which mark the site ofendocytosis in eukaryotes. Prior to their identification in theyeast "Saccharomyces cerevisiae ", sites ofendocytosis were thought to be chosen at random.References
