Heinie ," (September 23 ,1880 -March 20 ,1943 ) was a shortstop for theNew York Giants and theBoston Red Sox . While not an exceptionally good fielder (he "averaged" 40 errors between 1908 and 1911), he was known to block the basepaths with his "exceptionally big" feet.
