State Road 227 in the U.S. State of Indiana is nearly parallel with the Ohio state line. This road is notorious for being very hilly, yet very straight. It begins in the north at SR 32 near Union City and runs southward through Richmond with an interchange with Interstate 70 at Exit 153. The route runs into northeastern Union County when it crosses the Ohio border and becomes Ohio State Route 177.
