coelophysoid dinosaur from the LateTriassic that lived inNorth America . It is said to differ from other coelophysoids in having a fused tibio-tarsals and fibula-tarsal.The type species, "Camposaurus arizonensis", was formally described by Hunt, Lucas, Heckert, and Lockely in 1998. It is a "
nomen dubium ", based on partial leg bones and other material assigned to the genus. As the species name suggests, it was found inArizona , in theUnited States . It was similar to and may actually have been a species of "Coelophysis ".References
