Eugene Gerard "Gene" Laufenberg (born
July 28 ,1961 , in Jersey City,New Jersey ) is atelevision writer and producer.He started his career in television after securing a story editor's position the animated cult favorite "
Duckman ". He was eventually nominated for anEmmy Award . Laufenberg wrote and produced various other TV shows such as "Clueless," "She Spies " and "Family Guy ". After writing and directing the award-winning short "Sunday's Game", Laufenberg obtained a three-picture deal with Fox 2000. His disillusionment with Hollywood caused him to leave the industry and relocate toNew Zealand with his wife, Jayne, and their three children. They are heavily involved in charity work, particularly among theMāori .Laufenberg graduated from
Hopatcong High School in Hopatcong, New Jersey in 1979.
