Howard S. McDonald

Howard S. McDonald

Howard S. McDonald (b. July 18, 1894 - d. 1986) was President of Brigham Young University. The enrollment more than doubled between winter and fall semester as he took over. His administration was able to get many temporary buildings that housed the huge influx of students, and they began to build permanent buildings to replace them, an endeavor done more by his succesor, Ernest L. Wilkinson.

McDonald also served as president of the Salt Lake Temple from 1964 to 1968.
