Lee's Summit North High School is a High School that serves grades 9-12 and it is located in the north central part of Lee's Summit, Missouri. It is the second of three high schools in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The other two schools are Lee's Summit West High School and Lee's Summit High School. Lee's Summit North opened in the fall of 1995. Their mascot is the Bronco. The school offers classes for the IB Diploma.

Current Events

Recently, a letter concerning the "sagging" of pants was sent out to parents. The letter was distributed to all Afircan-American families, regardless of the students academic integrity. It is often speculated over if the school has the student's best interests at heart. Often, pregnant girls are strongly encouraged to attend Summit Ridge Academy, a school full of students who have had "disciplinary problems". Do we see the implications here?

In fact, Lee's Summit is often speculated to be a very corrupt district. Though in their defense, no one is perfect and Lee's Summit North does crank out IB Diploma students and great test scores.

Academic Achievements

Lee's Summit North's A Debate team took third place [ ["http://champs.mshsaa.org/results/results.asp?Results_ID=689"] ] in Public Forum debate at the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) 2006 Speech & Debate Championship.In 2007, the Lee's Summit Debate Team sent 6 students to nationals-- one team in Policy Debate, one team in Public Forum Debate, one individual in congress and one individual in Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Track/Field and Cheerleading

The Lee's Summit North Track Team won the state championship in 2007.

Lee's Summit North Varsity cheerleading squad won the 5A Large Class state championships in 2004 and 2005, which took place at the University of Missouri at Columbia in November of each year. In 2006, the squad placed fourth.
