"Begin Here" is The Zombies' British debut LP released in 1965. The American version ("The Zombies") repeated a lot of the tracks from it, but as was the habit in those days, deleted some cuts and substituted some others.

Unlike the U.S. record, it was reissued, and thus became much easier to find. But as with the American version, you can find all of the tracks on other CD compilations, and almost all of the important ones on the anthologies that concentrate only on their best material.

The 1999 CD reissue on Big Beat expands the track lineup substantially with the addition of three songs from their 1965 UK EP "The Zombies" and, more interestingly, alternate takes of "Sticks and Stones" and "It's Alright With Me," as well as demos of "I Know She Will" and "I'll Keep Trying." The demos of these last two tunes are notable in that they don't have the overdubs on the versions available on other albums.
