Bowater Baronets

The first Bowater Baronetcy was created in 1914 for Thomas Vansittart Bowater who had been Lord Mayor of London from 1913 to 1914. A second baronetcy was created in 1939 for Thomas' brother, Frank Henry Bowater, who had been Lord Mayor from 1938 to 1939. Other Lord Mayors of London of the Bowater family were Sir Noël Vansittart Bowater, 2nd Baronet (from 1953 to 1954) and Noël's brother, Ian Frank Bowater (from 1969 to 1970)
