James "Scoonie" Penn (born January 9 1977 in Brooklyn, New York City) is an American basketball player who played at Boston College before transferring to The Ohio State University, where he teamed up to form a dominant backcourt with current Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Michael Redd. Penn played as a point guard in 2005/06 for the renowned Croatian club Cibona Zagreb and for the 2006/07 season was a member of the Greek club Olympiacos. He is now playing for Efes Pilsen S.K.

His height is 180 cm, and weighs 82 kg.
