Darren Jeffries is a British actor best known for his portrayal of Sam "O.B." O'Brien in Channel 4 soap-opera Hollyoaks. In 2007, after ten years of playing O.B., Darren announced that he was leaving the soap. His final air date was 27 February 2008, however he did return later on in 2008 for a brief appearance.[1]

At The 2008 British Soap Awards, Darren Jeffries and Matt Littler (Max Cunningham) won The Best On-Screen Partnership Award. [2] In an interview after winning their award, Matt Littler (Max Cunningham) let slip that Jeffries would briefly return for a spectacular storyline, along with Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy Richardson). The storyline involved Max Cunningham's death and Matt Littler subsequently left the show, along with Darren Jeffries in March 2008.

Since leaving Hollyoaks Darren has carved a successful presenting career alongside Matt Littler. Together they have had stints on Channel 4's V festival footage in 2008, T4's "Rockcorp" show, and were also the faces of The RAF's "Least 9 to 5" media campaign. The duo had their own radio show on Lancashire based radio station "RockFM" throughout 2009 and now present various shows for the 4Music channel. They are currently shooting their latest show "Red Bull Rivals" which will be screened in October on Channel 4.
