Biography

Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, he attended Winthrop University, where he graduated in 1996 with a BS and a minor in art.

In 2000 J. Chris started a local comic/zine anthology called Wide Awake. With art from Greenville, South Carolina artist's Duane Ballenger, Mike Gowan and Andrew Davis. After the success of the first issue he started a mini-comic and zine publishing company called " [http://www.wideawakepress.com/ Wide Awake Press] ".

J. Chris has contributed to comics anthologies Project:Superior, Superior Showcase #0, Students of The Unusual and SPX 2004.

His first on going comic, "Zig Zag [http://www.adhousebooks.com/adhousebooks/comics.html#Anchor-ZigZag-35326] " was published by AdHouse Books. The second issue to be released in 2007.

In February 2006 [http://3boysproductions.com/ 3 Boys Productions] released a collection of all the work J. Chris had done for Students of the Unusual. It is a convention special only available from 3 Boys Production or J. Chris Campbell.
