Okstad skole is a primary school in Trondheim, with the grades 1-4. It is situated near Kroppanmarka, not too far from Heimdal and Tiller.

History

The students of this area were not plentiful, since this has long been dominated by farmland. In 1856/58 children in this area attended Anders Haarstad legats skole, which was the first stationary school in the former municipality of Tiller. In 1939, the new school Breidablikk took over, and students went there for five decades. As a result of the construction boom in Kroppanmarka in the '80s, the city decided a new school must be built, and in 1997 they decided on the look.

Today

The school is built entirely in one storey and two wings. One of the wings, the higher one, contains the administration and the assembly room. It is built as a very "open" school, with the construction spread out on a large, rural area surrounded by forest. It is dominated by the modern, warm look of the '90s, with wooden panelled walls and lots of large windows.
