The 34th Grammy Awards were held on February 26, 1992. They recognized accomplishments by musicians from the previous year. This ceremony was unique because something happened that rarely, if ever, does at the Grammies — a tie. Lisa Fischer and Patti LaBelle each got the same number of votes in the category of Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. So, both got their own trophy.
