Valeri Viktorovich Kamensky ( _ru. Валерий Викторович Каменский) (born
April 18 ,1966 inVoskresensk ,Soviet Union , now Russia) is a retiredRussia n hockey player. Before the NHL, he started his career withKhimik Voskresensk in theRussian Hockey Super League (1982–85) and also played for CSKA Moscow (1985–91). In 1991 he moved to the NHL, where he played for theQuebec Nordiques (1991–95, spending the '94 lock-out break inHC Ambri-Piotta ,Switzerland ),Colorado Avalanche (1995–99),New York Rangers (1999–2001),Dallas Stars (2001–02) andNew Jersey Devils (2001–02). He won a Stanley Cup in 1996 with Colorado. He is also known for the amazing goal he scored with the Avalanche. He received a pass and scored while spinning in mid-air. In 2003, Kamensky returned to Russia and played two seasons for his original clubKhimik Voskresensk , retiring in 2005.NHL Career Statistics
