Valeri Kamensky

Valeri Viktorovich Kamensky ( _ru. Валерий Викторович Каменский) (born April 18, 1966 in Voskresensk, Soviet Union, now Russia) is a retired Russian hockey player. Before the NHL, he started his career with Khimik Voskresensk in the Russian Hockey Super League (1982–85) and also played for CSKA Moscow (1985–91). In 1991 he moved to the NHL, where he played for the Quebec Nordiques (1991–95, spending the '94 lock-out break in HC Ambri-Piotta, Switzerland), Colorado Avalanche (1995–99), New York Rangers (1999–2001), Dallas Stars (2001–02) and New Jersey Devils (2001–02). He won a Stanley Cup in 1996 with Colorado. He is also known for the amazing goal he scored with the Avalanche. He received a pass and scored while spinning in mid-air. In 2003, Kamensky returned to Russia and played two seasons for his original club Khimik Voskresensk, retiring in 2005.
