Kate Fox is a social anthropologist and director of the
Social Issues Research Centre (SIRC). She has written several books about her social research.Background
Fox is the daughter of acclaimed anthropologist
Robin Fox . As a child she lived in the UK, theUnited States ,France andIreland . She studiedanthropology andphilosophy atCambridge University . After a period in publishing and marketing she became a co-director ofMCM Research in 1989. She is now a director of theSocial Issues Research Centre inOxford .Publications
Fox has written a number of books covering her research. She has been described as a witty and eloquent writer whose observations are acute, hilarious and wincingly accurateFact|date=March 2008. Her titles include:

consultant on violence management and prevention. She has created award-winning training programmes on the subject for a variety of clients, including publicans andbookmakers .She also consults on issues such as customer psychology, complaint handling, team leading and crime prevention. This too has led to her involvement in developing training and information programmes.
