Thomas Taber II

Thomas Taber II

Thomas Taber II (May 19, 1785 – March 21, 1862) was a United States Representative from New York.

He was born in Dover, New York, attended the common schools; engaged in agricultural pursuits; member of the State assembly in 1826; elected as a Jacksonian to the Twentieth United States Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Thomas Jackson Oakley and served from November 5, 1828, to March 3, 1829; died in Roslyn, New York, March 21, 1862; interment in the Friends Cemetery, Westbury, New York.

He was the father of Stephen Taber, also a Congressman.
