"Sons of Northern Darkness" is the seventh album by the Norwegian black metal band, Immortal. Musically it is very similar to the two prior releases, "At the Heart of Winter" and "Damned in Black". This was the band's first release on Nuclear Blast Records, and the easiest to obtain in many countries. Iscariah left the band shortly before the album was released, and the band broke up the following year, reforming in 2007. Sons of Northern Darkness was reissued by Nuclear Blast in 2005 with bonus DVD as a Deluxe Edition.
