The Warner Bros. Studio Store was a chain of
retail store s nationwide carryingLooney Tunes and other merchandise based onWarner Bros. film s, similar in style toThe Disney Store . When Warner Bros. ownerTime Warner merged withTurner Broadcasting (which ownedHanna-Barbera and the pre-1986MGM library), merchandise based on Turner properties were added to the product lines. In2001 , all Warner Bros. Studio Stores went out of business, but the merchandise is still available at [http://www.WBShop.com/ WBShop.com] , as well as oneBay .United Kingdom
The chain also existed in the
United Kingdom , with outlets in various locations aroundLondon , including Regent Street,Lakeside Shopping Centre , andBluewater Shopping Centre . There were locations outside London such as Manchester, Gateshead Metro Centre, Glasgow and Preston. The United Kingdom locations, however, closed in 2004.Republic of Ireland
All stores in the Republic of Ireland closed during 2003/2004. All of the stores were located in Dublin in places such as the
Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and theBlanchardstown Shopping Centre .Australia
A number of these stores still exist in
Queensland, Australia , near the location of Warner Bros. Studios on the Gold Coast. The store atPacific Fair has recently closed and has now been replaced by a camping store. Another store inChevron Renaissance is still open. One exists inMelbourne, Australia at the famousCrown Casino .The main larger side of the store at Crown Casino has closed and will be replaced by an Italian restaurant in 2008. The smaller side, known as the Wabbithole, is still there. They are currently clearing out all old warehouse stock and making way for the store re-fit that will take place later in the year.
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances relating to the owner, after 11 years Warner Bros. Studio Store at Crown Casino has now permanently closed.
