Solo Mobile is a brand owned and operated by Bell Mobility created to compete with other Canadian value-minded mobile carriers & brands.

History

Solo Mobile initially began as Bell Mobility's prepaid brand. Over time, the brand was pulled from the market, then relaunched as a youth-minded mobile carrier with per-second billing on its monthly packages and per-minute billing on its prepaid plans.

Introduction of agreements

Solo Mobile offers the majority of their monthly plans on month-to-month (no contract), 1, 2, and 3 year terms. This setup changes when the company offers certain promotional packages, usually only available on 2-3 year terms.

Blabble Facebook Application

Blabble is a Facebook application launched by Solo Mobile in September of 2008. A photo tagging application, users can add quotes through speech bubbles on to photos within their existing Facebook albums.
