- Gayatri Reddy
Gayatri Reddy is an
anthropologist ofIndia who has also made contributions toqueer andgender studies.Reddy received her PhD in Anthropology in 2000 from
Emory University and is currently an assistant professor in Anthropology and Gender and Women's Studies at theUniversity of Illinois at Chicago . Reddy has carried out fieldwork on a community of hijras in Hyderabad,Andhra Pradesh in India.
