James Scott Richardson, (born
May 15 ,1974 ) is a Canadianwhite supremacist [http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2006/03/10/supremacists060310.html White supremacists fined for spreading hate on the internet] CBC News, 10 March 2006] and was a member of theTri-City Skins , associate ofAlex Kulbashian ofToronto , and leader of theCanadian Ethnic Cleansing Team (CECT). With Kulbashian, Richardson operated two websites that attracted the attention oflawyer Richard Warman , who filed a human rights complaint against the two men and their organization.The
Canadian Human Rights Tribunal ruled that the two websites encouraged violence against immigrants and visible minorities. The tribunal found that Richardson was "directly involved in the drafting, editing, and posting of the Hate Messages in the Canadian Ethnic Cleansing Team's newsletter." Kulbashian's Internet service provider, Affordable Spaces, was fined $3000. This case marks the first time in Canadian history that an Internet service provider has been found guilty of hosting a website that was promoting ethnic hatred against visible minorities.Richardson and Kulbashian are currently appealing the decision on the grounds of error in judgement, as well as challenging the constitutionality of section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act.
