June 17 ,1985 ) is a Canadian rockmusician best known for her role as the leadvocalist for the all-femalepop punk bandLiveonRelease .Performing since the age of 8, at 13 Colette joined the all-girl rock band LiveonRelease that was signed to
Bif Naked 'sHer Royal Majesty's Records , distributed throughWarner Music Canada . As lead singer, Trudeau toured North America extensively for three years supporting two CDs, while the band's videos received heavy rotation onMuchMusic .In the summer of 2003, at the age of 18, Colette left the band to write her own material and pursue a solo career. Colette quickly signed a production deal with
Banana Toons Productions and started co-writing with hit songwriters Sean Hosein, Dane Deviller, Steve Smith and Anthony Anderson, as well asBrian Howes from the bandClosure who has written hits for such bands as Daughtry andHedley .In 2005, Colette released a 3 track
EP exclusively on her MySpace, which included demo versions of "Freeze", "Spin Me", and "Shades." "Shades" was eventually removed because it did not fit in with the rest of the material she was writing.Colette launched her own

In 2007, the entire version of "UnEnd It" appeared on Colette's official
MySpace page, while a clip of a song called "The Big No" appeared on Colette'sPurevolume page.In January 2008 "UnEnd It" was taken off her MySpace while the entire version of "I Don't Wanna Know" was put up. In a blog Colette stated that her label is thinking of making the song her first single.
"I Don't Wanna Know" was added to the rotation to CHUM radio stations across Canada in January 2008 and is on multiple radio stations top 20 charts.
As of 2008, the release date for her upcoming solo record is unknown.
