Jimmy Campbell (author)

Jimmy (James) Campbell is the author and fundraiser whose many holidays in Blackpool have inspired three volumes in the "Tower Above All" book series.

Based on his diaries of his numerous solo holidays at the UK resort, the books are a gentle insight into minutiae British seaside life. The series chronicles his memories, observations and thoughts of the resort.

Through sales of his books he has raised over £3000 for the Royal National Lifeboat Association (RNLI).

He has recently said he is backing Blackpool's bid to become a World Heritage listed site.

Jimmy is a retired civil servant, lives in Wrexham, North Wales, and has featured many times in his local newspaper, the Wrexham Evening Leader.
