Wiktor Poliszczuk (born
10 October 1925 inDubno nearRivne ) is an Polish-Ukrainian-Canadianpolitologist (a Canadian citizen of Polish-Ukrainian descent), who writes about thePolish-Ukrainian relations duringWWII and the issues related toUkrainian nationalism . His writings are considered outside of the scholarly mainstream.Biography
When he was a child his family was deported to
Kazakhstan by theUSSR authorities. After WWII his family resettled in Dniepropetrovsk and later in 1946 he moved to Poland as a Polish national to re-unite with the family of his aunt. In Poland he graduated from the Pedagogical Liceum and worked as a teacher. Later he studied law at theWrocław University . Upon graduation he worked as aprosecutor in Communist Poland, and studiedpolitical science at the University of Silesia in Katowice, where he obtained aPhD (his doctoral thesis was about the ideology ofUkrainian nationalism ).
