Edward George Fitzalan-Howard, 1st Baron Howard of Glossop PC (20 June 1818 – 1 December 1883), known as The Hon. Edward Fitzalan-Howard from birth until 1842 and then Lord Edward Fitzalan-Howard until 1869, was a British Liberal politician and Member of Parliament for several constituencies.
Fitzalan-Howard was the second son of Henry Charles Howard, 13th Duke of Norfolk and Lady Charlotte Sophia Leveson-Gower. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. He served as Vice Chamberlain to Queen Victoria from 1846 to 1852 and was consequently elevated to the Privy Council of the United Kingdom.
In 1848, he was elected Member for Horsham, serving until 1852. In 1852 he was returned for Arundel, serving until 1868. In 1869 he was created Baron Howard of Glossop.
He was also Deputy Earl Marshal during the minority of his nephew Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk from 1860 to 1868. He married Augusta Talbot in 1851, and with her had two sons and five daughters. One of the sons died in infancy. His wife died in 1862, and he subsequently married Winifred Mary De Lisle with whom he had no children.
