1974 , E-One is a unit ofFederal Signal Corporation . It has a staff of 1,300 in four plants in the United States. In1993 E-One purchased Superior Emergency Equipment. E-One has sold more than 23,000 vehicles, mostly in theUnited States andCanada .The competition for E-one currently is Pierce and American LaFrance, both premier firetruck builders in North America, and industry wide it is accepted that Pierce has the best quality truck, followed by American LaFrance and then E-one.Products
Custom Cabs
E-One produces many of their vehicles with custom cabs branded as the Cyclone II, Typhoon and Quest. The Quest cab debuted in April 2007 at the Fire Department Instructor's Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana.
