- Javier Santiso
Javier Santiso is a
political economist who has authored several books onLatin America 's development. An intellectual disciple ofAlbert O. Hirschman , his contributions deal with the study of temporality in political analysis and the role of different actors in development. He started his career in academia aspolitical scientist but he was then chief economist for Latin America atBBVA . He is now the Chief Development Economist and Deputy Director of theOECD Development Centre .Santiso, who is French and Spanish, holds several degrees from
Sciences Po ,France , including aPhD . He was a visiting Professor atJohns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies . He managed the Albert Hirschman virtual institute and sits on the advisory council ofCILAE (Centro de Investigación Latinoamérica Europa) .Books
