Isaac Wilson Joyce

Isaac Wilson Joyce (11 October 1836 – 28 July 1905) was an American bishop in the Methodist Episcopal Church, elected in 1888.

He was born in Colerain Township, Hamilton County, Ohio on 11 October, 1836. He became a Member of the Northwest Indiana Annual Conference of the M.E. Church in 1859, being ordained a deacon by Bishop Matthew Simpson, and an elder by Bishop Thomas Asbury Morris.

Prior to his election to the episcopacy, Joyce served as a pastor, a presiding elder, and was in educational work. He was elected the same year as fellow-Ohioan Bishop James Mills Thoburn.

Bishop Joyce died on 28 July, 1905 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is buried in Lakewood Cemetery of that city.
