Reneta Indzhova

Reneta Indzhova was born in 1953 [ [http://www.terra.es/personal2/monolith/00women3.htm Women Prime Ministers ] ] . She was appointed as Interim Prime Minister in Bulgaria in 1994 and set the record as being the first and only women since to be the head of the government in Bulgaria. After the collapse of the “non party” government, Indzhova became the head of what was known as a caretaker government. While in office, Reneta had success in fighting the high crime rates that were present in Bulgaria [ [http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C05E1DC1238F93BA25751C1A962958260 Ex-Communists in Bulgaria Are Poised for Return to Power - New York Times ] ] . After serving as interim prime minister, Indzhova ran in the 2001 Presidential Election in the party of Movement for Rights and Freedoms’.
