Bob Marley (comedian)

Robert "Bob" Marley is a comedian from Bangor and Portland, Maine. He has stated that when he was born, his dad had no idea there was a singer named Bob Marley. Fact|date=August 2008

Marley was born in Bangor and lived there until he was 10. [ [http://216.55.132.35/wordpress/?p=12 Bob's Blog, Aug. 27, 2007] Retrieved June 17, 2008] He then lived in the Munjoy Hill area of Portland and graduated from Deering High School in 1985. Marley went on to attend the University of Maine at Farmington, graduating with a degree in Community Health. However, even when in college, he knew that he wanted to pursue comedy as his career.

Marley's comedic bent is mostly about life in Maine with an exaggerated Maine accent. Bob Marley's first television appearance was on Comedy Central. He also appeared as Detective Greenly in the movie "Boondock Saints".

He is regularly hosted on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 103 and appears every week on Coast 93.1-WMGX in Portland, Maine, where his segment is called "The World According to Bob."

When Bob Marley comes home to Portland, Maine, he can be often heard on THE BIG JAB's "Morning JAB" (Sports Radio WJJB-95.5FM / 1440 AM) and on WLOB's Morning Show (NEWS-Talk Radio WLOB 96.3FM).
