John Edward Walsh

John Edward Walsh

John Edward Walsh (12 November, 1816 – 20 October, 1869) was an Irish Conservative Party Member of Parliament (MP) in the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and subsequently Master of the Rolls in Ireland.

He attended Trinity College, Dublin, before being called to the Irish Bar in 1839. He became a Queen's Counsel (QC) in 1857.

He was MP for Dublin University 1866-1867. He was Attorney General for Ireland 25 July-1 November 1866. He was also made a member of the Privy Council of Ireland 17 August 1866.

Walsh left the House of Commons when he was appointed Master of the Rolls in Ireland in 1867, an office he held until he died in 1869.
