Life and career
Gains achieved success during the 1980s with a variety of roles in films such as Children of the Corn, Hardbodies, Lust in the Dust, Back to the Future, Can't Buy Me Love, Colors,Wing Commander III, The 'Burbs and Memphis Belle. His most recent credits include Sweet Home Alabama, Dorm Daze (which he also executive-produced) and Desolation Canyon, as well as a cameo in Rob Zombie's Halloween remake. He is particularly remembered for a particular line in Can't Buy Me Love, where he confronts Ronald Miller (Patrick Dempsey), the film's protagonist for throwing a feces bomb at his house on Halloween, grabbing him and screaming, "You shit on my house, man! You shit on my house!"
In addition to his film work, Gains has guest-starred on several notable television shows including Seinfeld, Monk, In the Heat of the Night, Tales from the Crypt, ER, JAG, Pacific Blue, Nash Bridges, Diagnosis: Murder, Charmed, Alias, The Guardian and My Name is Earl.[1] Gains has also worked as an acting coach.[2]
Music career
Gains worked as musician and once performed live on stage with Phish and has since released a solo album.[3]
