"Carpe Noctem" was a goth sub-culture
magazine that was edited by Thom and Catia Carnell (with Thom credited as just 'Carnell') and published in the 1990s. It was best known for having printedJhonen Vasquez 's "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac " comic in short strips from August 1995 to January 1997, prior to JTHM's being picked up bySlave Labor Graphics . It contained interviews with notable authors, artists and musicians such asClive Barker ,David Schow ,Neil Gaiman ,Alex Ross ,Brom ,Cliff Nielsen , Frank Miller, Joe Jusko,Robert Rodriguez ,Tom Savini ,Viggo Mortensen ,Criss Angel ,Gino Vannelli ,Gwar , Human Drama, Sam Rosenthal,Jhonen Vasquez ,Bob Wilkins , andRonnie James Dio .It is no longer in publication, and its Web site has ceased to exist.
