Daniel Vallely is a designer, illustrator, comic book writer/artist, photographer, filmmaker, musician, and producer.

Vallely's first published work (described by Neil Gaiman as "all shadows and light"[citation needed]) was in Saviour, written by Mark Millar and published by Trident Comics in 1989. Vallely only drew one and a half issues before setting all the pages alight. Vallely's next major work was with comic writer Grant Morrison on Bible John-A Forensic Meditation which was serialised in Crisis #56-61 in 1991. His work was highly acclaimed for its complex use of collage and mixed media, although this was some of Vallely's least favourite work.[citation needed] After a few more appearances, Vallely moved out of comics and spent some time as a photo journalist in war-torn Kuwait.

As a musician and songwriter Vallely has been in The Mixers and The Fauves Vallely currently sings and plays guitar with The Void and is a member of DHK.
