Barbican is a thoroughbred horse. As a foal of 2003, he was a possible contender for the Triple Crown in 2006. He fractured a sesamoid bone during a workout and so fell out of the Triple Crown picture.

Connections

Barbican is owned by Darley Stable. He is trained by Eoin Harty and has been ridden by Eibar Coa, Joe Bravo and C. Decarlo. He was bred in Kentucky by Darley.

Breeding

His sire is A.P. Indy while his dam is Colour Chart. In his breeding line are such horses as Seattle Slew and Mr. Prospector.
