Apple's Way

Apple's Way

"Apple's Way" is a television dramedy which aired on CBS from 1974-1975. It was created by Earl Hamner, Jr., who also produced "The Waltons" and "Falcon Crest" for CBS and the less successful "Boone" on NBC.

Premise

The Apples, a family from Los Angeles, seek refuge from the hectic pace of city living and relocate to the father's (fictitious) hometown of Appleton, Iowa. There they must adjust to new culture, the climate, and the pace of life. The show did not gain the ratings CBS had hoped for, because it had to compete with NBC's Top 20 hit The Wonderful World of Disney and was cancelled after two seasons.

Reruns

Both TV Land and AmericanLife TV have aired the series in reruns in the late '90s and early 2000.
