WJSP-FM (88.1 FM) is the Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) radio station serving Columbus and all of west central Georgia. It shares a tower with GPB TV station WJSP-TV just outside of Warm Springs, Georgia, its city of license. The station was one of the first GPB radio stations, signing on in 1984. WJSP-FM only simulcasts the GPB radio network, with no local programs.

Translators

In addition to the main station, WJSP-FM is relayed by an additional 12 translators to widen it's broadcast area. For some years, the station was also heard in the Atlanta area on 100.7 FM via W264AE, until that broadcast translator was forced off the air by a commercial station, WWWQ-FM, which relocated from Anniston, Alabama, on an adjoining frequency, 100.5 FM. This left the GPB headquarters city without its own station, but WABE-FM, which is operated by the city's school board and not part of the GPB system, airs NPR programming and classical music.
