Death Is a Diamond

"Death is a Diamond" is a 2004 action film. It was shot from July 2004 to October 2004 and premiered in late December 2004.

The film is about three rival gangs fighting over a batch of blood diamonds that have been brought illegally from Nigeria to Sydney, Australia. The film sold very well in Australia on its release, but received heavy criticism for the amount of violence depicted and sales quickly dropped.

Producers Matthew Scott and Daniel Okoduwa planned to make a sequel but because of the backlash, Scott went on and created "Questions" and Okoduwa went on to produce "Love, Lost and Temptation", which became one of the most sought after Australian/Nigerian films of 2005.
