Ulrik Frederik Christian Arneberg

Ulrik Frederik Christian Arneberg (15 June 1829 - 30 October 1911) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party.

He served as County Governor of "Bratsberg Amt" (today named Telemark) from 1881 to 1889. [http://www.worldstatesmen.org/Norway_counties.html Norwegian Counties] — World Statesmen.org]

He then entered national politics, as a member of the Council of State Division in Stockholm from 13 July 1889 to 1 July 1890. On this day, he was appointed Minister of Justice and the Police in the first cabinet Stang. He held this position until the first cabinet Stang fell on 5 March 1891. After this he was appointed County Governor of "Smaalenenes Amt" (today named Østfold). He held the position until 1905.b] In 1892 he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament, oddly enough representing the constituency Brevik,b] located in Telemark where had formerly been County Governor. He served only one parliamentary term.
