Turner Falls

Turner Falls

Turner Falls is Oklahoma's tallest waterfall, measuring some 77 feet in its full descent, and continually rates as one of Oklahoma's most popular attractions, drawing thousands from the region in the sweltering days of summer. The falls are located on Honey Creek in the Arbuckle Mountains in south central Oklahoma, near Davis. Turner Falls is accessible by Interstate 35 exits 51 or 55. Because it is such an exclusive park, facilities fee varies by season.

While the water from the falls is clean, runoff from storms brings contaminated water and materials from the adjacent campground. The effect of this runoff is to increase the amount of nutrients in the pool under the falls and Honey Creek that promote growth of algae and harmful bacteria.
