March 7 ,1960 inRöthenbach ) is a former Germantrack and field athlete. In the 1980's and until 1990 he representedWest Germany and belonged to the world elite in thedecathlon . His most notable result was winning the bronze medal at the1984 Summer Olympics inLos Angeles, California .
