- St. Leonards F.C.
St. Leonards F.C. was a semi-professional football team who played their last season of football in the
Sussex County League . They played home games at the Firs,Hastings ,East Sussex and right next door toHastings United .St. Leonards started out as a works team in 1971 as STAMCO when the employees of the Sussex Turnery And Moulding Company played friendly matches. They rose 14 divisions in 26 years, won the Sussex Senior Cup in 1997 against Saltdean United and joined the Southern League Premier League the following season. This most probably the peak of St. Leonards' history but they resigned from the Southern League in 2003 with debts of £25,000 and midway through the 2003-04 season went out of business due to financial problems.
A few of the ex players/supporters relaunched the Club as St Leonards (Social) FC in 2005.Their first season they continued to play at the home ground of the 'Firs' before Hastings council sold some of the land.
St Leonards Social FC now play in the East Sussex Premier Division finishing 2nd in 2007/2008 and for the season 2008/2009 are once again looking to achieve promotion back into county league football.
