Krum High School is a public school in Krum, Texas (USA). It is part of the Krum Independent School District and as of February, 2006, had 348 students enrolled in grades 9 through 12. The boys basketball team shares the state record for championships in its classification

Athletics

They offer a range of sports such as Tennis, Golf, Cross Country, Track, Softball, Baseball and Basketball. Basketball is by far the school's strongest program; the boys' team are perennial state title contenders. The team has won state championships in basketball in 1971, 1978, 1994( Krum defeated two-time defending state champions Troup 56-45 to become the first and only team in Bobcat history to go undefeated with a 37-0 record for the 1993-94 season.) 1996 (53-39 over East Chambers High School) and 1998 (64-52 vs. Little River-Academy High School). Boys basketball team member Chuck Hall set the Texas state boys basketball scoring record in 1979 with 3,550 points, on 1,456 two-point field goals and 638 foul shots in his 180-game career that preceded introduction of the three-pointer. Although the girls' Varsity Basketball team has gone to State,They lost to the state champion team Nazerath in 1982/ in the first game at the tournament. the girls team of 2007-2008 team has made Krum History by being the first girls team to be ranked #1 by Texas Association Basketball Coaches Association.

In Texas girls cross-country running tournament history, runner Cordie Thomas had a photo-finish time of 11:20, breaking the then-state record by 22 seconds in the 3-mile (5K) event. Unusual for high schools in high-school football crazy Texas, Krum does not participate in football. In 2006, Krum ISD voters defeated by a 53-vote margin a $6 million bond issue that would have added a football stadium to the school and football as an extracurricular activity for the first time since 1922. Academics

The high school excels in UIL academic competitions, with six individuals advancing to the state meet in 2007, resulting in the state champion Headline Writing contestant Collin Duwe.
