Leidschenveen-Ypenburg is a "stadsdeel" (town part) of
The Hague , in the southeast. It is geographically connected to the main body of the Hague by only a narrow corridor.It consists of four quarters: Hoornwijk and nlinl|Ypenburg on the southwest of the highway A12 nlis|Rijksweg 12 and parallel railway to Utrecht, and Forepark and nlinl|Leidschenveen on the northeast.
In 2005 the new railway station
Den Haag Ypenburg nlis|Station Den Haag Ypenburg was opened, next to the highway.In the "stadsdeel" two highway nodes are located: nlii|Knooppunt Ypenburg and nlii|Prins Clausplein.
History
Until the 1990s Ypenburg was a military
airfield . There was a battle on 10 May 1940.External links
