15 century under name "Papkeresztúr" during theHungarian Kingdom .Its name means "the Serb Krstur" (There is also a village of
Ruski Krstur in Vojvodina, meaning "the Rusyn Krstur"). The name "Krstur" itself derived from Hungarian "kereszt" ("cross" in English).In Serbian
